Art & Architecture of Paris

Study the art and architecture of Paris up close and in person, through the study of Photography, Art History or painting.  During this week long program, our classroom will be the city itself; beautiful parks, buildings, museums and all.

Observe famous paintings, sculptures and other works of art. Visit the historic Louvre, the nineteenth century Musee d’Orsay and the ultramodern Pompidou. Experience first-hand the serene atmosphere of public gardens where you can practice plein air painting. Take your time to admire the innovative construction of Notre Dame as well as the exquisite stained glass of St. Chapelle.

Participants on this program will have 3 online or in-person assignments prior to leaving the USA.  These assignments will prepare you to get the most out of your time in Paris.   While in Paris, classes will be held 9:00am to 1:00pm daily.  Course instruction and lectures will take place during excursions to points of interest throughout the city. Come prepared to walk, talk and think for yourself.

Participants will have afternoons free to follow their passion and enjoy some leisure time within the city.
